Data controller

Jaal Restaurang AB is responsible for the processing of personal data carried out on this website and at the restaurant. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, you are always welcome to contact us.

What data we process

We only collect the data we need to give you a good experience:

• Table reservations – name, contact details and booking information you provide when booking via TheFork or by phone/email.
• Orders – details you submit when ordering takeaway or delivery through our partners.
• Contact – the information you include when you email or call us.
• Technical data – limited information stored locally in your browser (language choice and cookie preference).

Purpose & legal basis

We process your data to manage reservations and orders, to answer your questions, and to operate and improve the website. The legal basis is the performance of a contract (your booking/order) and our legitimate interest in running the restaurant and a functioning website.

Cookies & embedded services

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser. We use a minimum of necessary cookies, plus third-party services embedded on the site. When you load pages with these embeds, the providers may set their own cookies:

• Necessary – language choice and your cookie preference, stored locally to remember your settings.
• Map – Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd) on the booking and visit pages.
• Reservations – TheFork (LaFourchette) for the booking module.
• Video – background film served from our own media server.
• Order & delivery – Paidit, Uber Eats, Foodora and Wolt when you choose to order.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, and you can block cookies in your browser settings. Note that some embedded functions (map, booking) may then not work fully.

Sharing & transfers

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the providers above who help us deliver bookings, orders and the website, and only to the extent necessary. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA, in which case appropriate safeguards apply.

Retention

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example accounting rules). Reservation and order data is kept no longer than necessary.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise your rights, contact us at bokning@waanthai.se. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
